Guardian In Home Services seeks only the qualified and most dedicated responsible and caring care providers.  We believe that team players are most important to give the best care available.

As a care provider your responsibilities would be to develop a trusting and caring relationship with the clients and to give the satisfaction of security and safety while caring for them in their own homes.  While assisting them with the daily routines of bathing, grooming and meals you would develop a caring and loving environment.

We offer 2 levels of care to our clients. To apply with Guardian In Home Services, you must first determine which level you are qualified to do.

  1. Home Care Attendant (HCA); (non-licensed) Trained attendant, can provide “non-medical assisted care” for limited assistance clients. Ex. Guided maneuvering of limbs with eating, toileting, bathing, dressing personal hygiene, medication reminders and other weight bearing assistance as needed. HCA can provide companionship services as well.
  2. Licensed and Certified; CNA, GNA, can provide “hands on non-medical assisted care” for our extensive/full Dependence clients. Ex. Total care, substantial or consistent hands on assistance with eating toileting, bathing, dressing personal hygiene, medication reminders and other weight bearing assistance as needed

Secondly, you must meet the following requirements for Employment.

  1. 3 work references, names, addresses and telephone numbers (must be complete)
  2. 2 personal references, names, addresses and telephone numbers (must be complete)
  3. A current driver’s license and provide GIHS with a copy of current card and supply GIHS with copy of any renewals
  4. Own a suitable vehicle
  5. Current auto insurance and submit to the corporate office a copy of all renewals
  6. Working telephone
  7. Available every other weekend
  8. Available every other holiday
  9. A clean criminal background check (No record found | FBI when required)
  10. Child abuse clearance (when required)
  11. Attend all competency classes and training. Provided by our Registered Nurse
  12. CPR/1st Aide training and complete classes every 2 years for renewals
  13. When applicable you must provide a copy of Permanent Resident Card and agree to update and submit to Corp office by expiration date
  14. At least 6 months experience or be a Certified Nursing Assistant
  15. Provide Social Security Card
  16. You must have a 2-Step TB test and drug screening.  All initial cost will be your sole responsibility, but costs paid by you up-front will be refunded after a satisfactory 90-day evaluation. GIHS will be responsible for yearly TB screening and/or random drug screening and criminal background checks.
